Need ideas for a self-portrait (photography)?

Question by Matt Hup: Need ideas for a self-portrait (photography)?
It needs to have some meaning and people are going to give critique and try to find the meaning in it. We are allowed to use Photoshop (I have experience, just need ideas).

One idea I have is about how I have no idea for a career or anything to do with my future. What would be a simple representation of this? Maybe looking out into an open sea or sky? If not, what would that represent?
Cameron: I have a job thanks. I think you slightly misunderstand what I’m trying to say.

Pot holes and open drains would be a better representation.
Open sea or sky might misrepresent you as an artist or a thinker.

a picture of you reading the “help wanted” section of the newspaper.

Thats a really bad premise. I think you slightly misunderstand the idea of having a meaning behind a photo. It’s supposed to be more profound than ‘I got no job’.
