Dom, I love to watch your photography tutorials, they are all very well
done. I have a request for you, how about some tutorials on image editing
with GIMP 2.6.11, including HDR, layers, curves, stamp-clone etc. image
with GIMP. Keep up the good work that you are doing. Thanks…

  3. Kamo7s says:

Very nice of you to talk people through the settings. I’ve done some HDR
since I picked up my camera and when I was first learning…they were
    horrible. Nice, video tutorial, Dom!

  4. 2stjimy says:

    what about night HDR

  5. Sacrengard says:

@2stjimy it is posible, but its more difficult due to the lack of light,
that depends a lot on the camera you use

  6. ragnarocking says:

Thanks. One of your other videos inspired me to purchase Photomatic and
this video was an excellent guide on how to use it.

  7. Jumparound87 says:

Cheers Dom. I’ve never really liked the ‘HDR look’ that some photos have
but your image seems to be a bit more subtle and so infinitely better in my
    opinion.

how about a video of you showing your bbq skills on that grill, wearing
nothing but an apron of course.

  9. kedishi says:

I love the way you do HDR… most people make it look fake and obvious.
I’ve never been a fan of HDR in the past, but now I’ve seen that it can be
done without making it look rubbish, I might try it out =)

    @Dombowerphoto One of my photo’s I was told to do HDR… I did a
long-exposure at night and then I was told the Sky was under-exposed,
    Westminster is over exposed…. So I guess so… :S

I like your video mate you explain it well, i not sure why some things
appear out of focus, the foliage on the left and the red calor gas handle
and bird feeder. Perhaps this photo was just to explain HDR and bracketing

  14. linkbekka says:

Very good video — but I get much better results with the free program

moon itself, lighting on nature paths, etc.

  19. KPGorKFC says:

So is it better to take more shots in a range of exposure? or doesnt matter
the number of shots as long as you got both the bright and dim side of the
    pic?
