Fujifilm Launches Pixel Shift on the GFX 100

It is a great day for all Fujifilm fans, since the company has just released its first version of Pixel Shift on the GFX 100. If you have never heard of Pixel Shift, this technology allows a camera with in-body image stabilization (IBIS) to shift the sensor by up to a pixel (hence the name) in several directions, capturing several frames, in order to stitch them together for a single, high-resolution photo with maximum detail and color accuracy. In the case of the GFX 100, the camera will be able to stitch up to 16 RAW images in order to yield a 400 MP RAW image.

Although the maximum apertures of these lenses were not defined, I projected that these would be fast super-telephoto primes, namely Nikon Z 400mm f/2.8 S and Z 600mm f/4 S. Nikon recently released an image of its upcoming lens line-up, which includes silhouettes of unreleased lenses, and it looks like these will indeed be fast super-telephoto primes.

ASUS ProArt PA278QV Monitor Review

ASUS has been known for making quality PC components, but few people know that the company also makes mid-range and high-end monitors for professional photographers, graphic artists, and content creators. Specifically, the “ProArt” line has been designed for those who want high-end IPS displays for accurate color reproduction. The ASUS ProArt PA278QV represents the lower end of the line. With its sub-$ 300 price, this is one of the cheapest 27″ IPS budget monitors on the market. I recently had a chance to test this monitor out to see if it is something I can recommend to our readers. In this review, we will take a closer look at the PA278QV and see whether it should be considered for photo editing needs.
