Apple MacBook Air M1 Review for Photography Needs

As a travel and landscape photographer, I want to be able to pack as light as possible. While my camera gear has been getting slimmer and lighter, thanks to the advancements in mirrorless camera technology, my computer needs have also grown tremendously in the past few years. I recently had a chance to test out the new Apple MacBook Air with Apple’s M1 Silicon chip and I wanted to see how it compares to my 15″ MacBook Pro for photography and videography needs. In this review, we will be taking a closer look at this machine and see how it compares to an older generation MacBook with an Intel processor.

How to Properly Resize Images in Lightroom

If you like sharing your photographs online, whether on Facebook or on your own blog, you should learn how to properly resize your images in Lightroom. While your camera can take very high-resolution photographs, you might sometimes need to down-size or “down-sample” those images, not only because most websites won’t accept large images, but also because making those images smaller might actually make them look better, if done correctly. In other cases, you might need to up-size your image resolution, say for printing purposes. In this quick tutorial, I will show you the proper way to resize images in both Lightroom Classic CC and Lightroom CC.

Nikon Z5 Review

The Nikon Z5 is a budget-friendly full-frame mirrorless camera that was introduced in July of 2020. Despite its $ 1,399 retail price tag (at the time of introduction), the Z5 is a very capable camera that has most of the functionality of its higher-end sibling, the Nikon Z6.

Nikon Mirrorless Cameras Compared

Ever since Nikon released its first Z-mount mirrorless cameras in 2018, the camera line-up has grown tremendously, totaling 6 cameras. The first two cameras, the Nikon Z6 and Z7 have been updated with their second-generation bodies. In-between, Nikon also released the Z5 – a budget full-frame mirrorless camera, as well as the Z50 – Nikon’s first Z-mount APS-C camera.
