Recommended Nikon Z7 II Settings

The Nikon Z7 II is a second-generation mirrorless camera from Nikon aimed specifically at landscape, architecture and studio photographers who want as much resolution as possible. Although the Z7 II is almost identical to its predecessor in terms of its overall body and ergonomics, Nikon has made some significant internal changes, making it a much more complete camera (see my Nikon Z7 II vs Z7 comparison for more information). In this article, I will provide detailed information on what settings I personally use on my Nikon Z7 II and shortly explain what some of the camera buttons and controls do.

Fuji GFX 100S and GF 80mm f/1.7 R WR Announcements

Another big set of camera gear announcements this week comes from Fujifilm, which released its GFX 100S and X-E4 camera bodies, along with a few G and X mount lenses. The Fuji GFX 100S is basically a mini-GFX 100, minus the grip and slightly inferior features at a price point of $ 5,999, or roughly $ 4K cheaper than its big brother. It comes with the same excellent 102 MP medium format BSI CMOS sensor, the same X-Processor 4 image processor, and an improved in-body image stabilization system (IBIS). The GF 80mm f/1.7 R lens is Fuji’s fastest lens produced to date (roughly 63mm f/1.34 full-frame equivalent). The lens will retail for $ 2,299 MSRP when it is released together with the GFX 100S in March.

In fact, as I was thinking about this post a few weeks back, I thought of ways not to make it sound like I am trying to bury any brand or camera system, as I am well-aware that discussing photography gear can sometimes bring all kinds of anger in people. Instead, what I want to do in this article, is talk about the state of the camera industry and where things are headed in the near and distant future, and what it means for DSLR owners.
