    I’ve known this. I was able to see the exact location of a picture I took and DIDN’T post, but I never really thought that another person can track it

    WOW!!! uploading a video that was posted 3 years ago. News flash for everybody. FAcebook, Myspace, Twitter, Photobucket pretty muc all social networking sites have been stripping EXIF data from images that are uploaded for the better part of 2 years now. The only people can get the EXIF data is if you email or text an image to somebody. This is nothing but scaremongering

    Hey meconiumhead! The manufacturers made their devices ask on first setup if you want geo tagging (and explains what geo tagging is)! Most of you just go “next,next,ok,ok,finish” without reading what you do and then you get in trouble….Ok dumb dumb? 🙂

    You dumb ignorant prick! It should not be required to know the underlying technologies of daily used stuff. It is the manufacturers responsibility to anticipate the knowledge level of the average user of their product and make it safe to use and/or make clear what can be done with it.
