POSSIBLE Case Study: Canon 1709

CHALLENGE Canon needed a strategic digital roadmap to provide the foundation to reinforce its position as one of the world’s most admired technology companies. SOLUTION As part of the wider challenge, POSSIBLE worked with Canon, traditionally a hardware manufacturer, to create an image management platform designed to seamlessly bring users’ entire digital photography collections together. The cloud-based service makes it easy to store and access images, regardless of where they’ve been saved. Unique indexing and tagging functionality means users can easily find any image stored on the cloud and share collections with friends, family, and social networks. A concise overview of EXIF data, including camera model, exposure time, aperture, and ISO speed, is displayed to help users understand the camera settings on their favorite shots. Facebook photos and comments can be pulled in and stored as part of the collection, making photography and social interactions easily accessible from within the interface. RESULTS BETA testing is well under way, with a full public launch scheduled for early 2013.
