Hey Austin… Just ignore AllAmericanGuy01 He’s an insignificant nothing
troll. This is a great video and AllAmericanGuy01 couldn’t do anything
creative if he lived two lives.

  2. Ron Asor says:

I wonder how you guys haven’t covered reversed/stacked primes, in case I
would be shooting still subjects at high reproduction ratio that would be
my best pick, just by reversing a 50mm you get a real close to 1:1 lens
(though I heard aberrations are a pain by these, but seen some impressive
shots as well, more likely on stacked rather than solo though)

My original comment were two words; “they’re gay”. What point could I
possibly make out of that? Was my comment pointless? Yes. It was an obvious
statement. Did you make something out of nothing? Yes. You more than likely
would of appeared a tad bit intelligent by calling it quits before you got
    to this point.

  5. 66cool99 says:

Good effort in your video. I use a tripod with a reversible column. This
allows me to get as close to the ground as I want; even till the camera is
    touching the floor.

Hey I have a Nikon 50mm F1.8 lens. If I combine it with the Kenko extension
tube set, would it provide enough magnification to photography insect
    heads? Thanks

  7. Austin Scriver says:

    Questions have question marks.

  8. spankbutt123 says:

  10. Austin Scriver says:

I don’t understand how “They’re gay.” is intelligent at all. It’s just you
hiding behind your computer screen being an asshole.

Hey! Have you thought about photo sfxart tricks (do a search on google)? My
cooworker Catalina made some stunning photography with their photography
    tutorials.

  13. Giant Angry Robot says:

cool video, would suggest investing in a lens with IS for your channel.
    keep them coming

  14. zbynek janc says:

why every tutorial starts with boring talks about lenses if I search for
    tutorial I already have a lens don’t you think…

  15. Avid Visions says:

You should be good with that setup, it’s what I used for a while. Just be
ready to get up really close to your subject and to pump a lot of light
    into the scene

  16. WiegerSimonMovies says:

Loved the video guys, learned a lot thx!

  17. AllAmericanGuy01 says:

Terms are not the issue; you making an attempt to write one word and claim
that’s a question, is the issue. However, to answer your question, it
doesn’t matter if they’re gay or not. And no I do not have a problem with
it. I’m curious as to why you assumed it was a problem when all I did was
    make a simple, obvious statement.

  18. Xander Johan says:

@AvidVisionsVideo haha, no way! It is a great video, and you guys were
    awesome!

  19. Avid Visions says:

While this is true, I (Roman) personally like using natural light more.
It’s less cumbersome without the flash, and you won’t scare away any
insects as easily. It’s all personal preference though. I do use a flash
when there isn’t enough natural light to make sure I don’t need use high
ISO levels. For the purposes of this video though, we just wanted to
introduce some basic tips for macro photography, without getting too
    technical for newcomers about flash.

  20. Avid Visions says:

It depends. It might be helpful for you to watch the video we made about
extension tubes because some cheaper tubes require an aperture ring on the
lens to work (and I know the 70-300mm is gelded and will be locked at f/22
or above while being used with the tubes). I honestly recommend a 50mm
f/1.8D or one of the good old 60mm f/2.8 micro lenses (especially the ones
with an aperture ring, the D-series) unless you got AF extension tubes like
kenkos in which case you’ll be okay.

  25. Austin Scriver says:

So you’re saying there was absolutely no point to your comment other than
you were trying to be an asshole.
