Introduction to camera flash with Mike Browne

An introduction about different types of flash and how light behaves. For example what id meant by ‘hard’ or ‘soft’ light? How do you find or create hard and soft light from your flash gun? I find it helps to visualise light as water and think about what would water do when squirted from a hose. If you put a sprinkler on the end it’s a bit like adding a diffuser to your flash. The light shatters and becomes softer. But I reckon the bit you’ll enjoy most is bounce flash. With the help of Lorna and a hose pipe we’ll show you how light behaves when you bounce it off a wall or ceiling.
