I need a 35mm film camera for photography class. I don’t want to buy one expensive, where do i go to get one? It needs to be cheap (under 15) or i might have to switch classes.

Under $ 15 is out of the question. Even the cheapest film cameras on ebay with shipping will cost more than that. You can however find a 35mm SLR for around $ 50. This will most likely have to be an old fully manual camera and lens though.

edit-And that is only the beginning by the way. You will have to buy a particular film, probably a tmax or trix which will cost anywhere between $ 4 and $ 7 per roll, and you will need a lot of it. At 10 rolls, you are looking at at least $ 40 if you buy online.

Then you will need photographic paper. That is about $ 30 I guess for 25 sheets which probably will only last halfway through the semester. So look at having to buy more.

Oh, and then you may have to buy mounting board to mount your prints.

Here are plenty, and the prices are very low…

    BUT

…. under $ 15 is absurd. Sorry, but photography is not a cheap toy hobby. If your budget is THAT low, yeah, you better get in another class. The cost of the camera is only the beginning.

If you cannot afford U.S.$ 15 for a camera (which is REALLY cheap), then you won’t even be able to afford the film for it either. I suggest switching classes (or taking a digital photo class and borrowing someones digital camera).
