How do you ajust the shutter speed on a Canon Rebel?

Question by Dannielle: How do you ajust the shutter speed on a Canon Rebel?
I want to increase the shutter speed because occasionally when I take indoor pictures (there is just enough lighting), it blurs.

If you increase the shutter speed without sufficient light your pic will be too dark or even black.

Put your camera in AV mode and roll the wheel behind the shutter button to the lowest number that your lens will allow, that will give you the fastest shutter speed for the light that you have available. You can hold the av thumb button and tell your camera to shoot darker (the – side of things) but the further that you go the darker you pic.

If you have a digital Rebel as opposed to a film Rebel you can up the ISO, but that introduces more grain or noise. With film you need to leave it set to the ISO of the film thats in the camera.
