How do I add multiple adjustment layers in Apple’s Aperture application?

Question by kyle: How do I add multiple adjustment layers in Apple’s Aperture application?
I’m editing a photo in Apple’s Aperture application and I need to know if there’s a way to add two or more adjustment channels of the same adjustment. For example I want to increase the overall exposure of my photo, but there’s also a touchup I need to make that requires me to change the exposure in just a small part of the photo. How can I do this? Thank you!

Aperture doesn’t have Layers. Adobe Elements or even Gimp (which is free) does.
