  13. geonlansis says:

If he didn’t use the flash the background would either be overblown or the faces of the cyclist would be too dark to see.

  14. Xai Yang says:

was you using second curtain sync with high speed sync to get the picture at 2:51…

  15. Nicole Grima says:

    Really helpful video!!

  16. Sam Kirkpatrick says:

I’m no pro and I have the upmost respect for a photographer of your class, but while viewing your pictures of the cyclists coming up the hill, I think the flash wasn’t helping your shots. It looked unnatural and looked strange. Sorry for being kind of negative, sir. I can’t do any better so I shouldn’t be talking, just wanted to say what I saw.

  17. ktg619 says:

    Looks back breaking

  18. Van Huynh says:

Looks like you could use a Black Rapid strap!

  19. Kevin Bast says:

Really nice video and beautiful photos but as a cyclist I would be kind of pissed on when someone was flashing me from the ground while I´m riding up a hill ^^

  20. Leonardo Abreu says:

    I don’t like flash.

  21. Mzahaka1313 says:

take a picture of a slow guy in start of video, while he talks to us a good looking group of racers pass by and hes like meh dont give a damn

  22. SLarson says:

I guess you can call it “manual” you just want to set your Aperture and flash power…etc but you don’t want too much flash in their face because it tends to wipe away the quality if it is too harsh. just use the settings you prefer for that shot.

  23. joe honeyands says:

The best photography video I’ve seen. Thanks very much!

  24. pjos111 says:

Thanks for replying. Does this mean then that the flash is in manual? Just set the distance on the flash according to the F stop?
