Nikon Z 35mm f/1.4 Announced: An Unexpected Budget Lens

Nikon just announced the first f/1.4 lens for the mirrorless Z system, the Nikon Z 35mm f/1.4. That’s the full name of this lens; there’s no “S” designation, which is a bit of a surprise. Another surprise is the price: At $ 600, it’s even cheaper than the f/1.8 version!

Photography News: Pentax 17 Film Camera, Nikon Z 35mm Rumors

Everything comes to an end. After 17 days in the tropical Ecuadorian Andes, going from 300 meters to 4200 meters above sea level (660 to 13,800 feet), I am sitting in a gazebo in the middle of the Czech forest and writing these lines. Thousands of photos of birds and breathtaking landscapes of the páramo and cloud forest are safely on my computer. I’m going to share many of them with you in various articles, but for now I’ll just start at the back, with the last photo I took before leaving for the airport. With this picture of the Shining Sunbeam, I offer another overview of last week’s news in the photography world.

HOW TO PLAY

1. Get the list. Download this year’s shot list and keep it handy on your phone, or print it out so you can check off prompts as you capture them. The printable list (below) is perfect for saving to your phone!

2. Get inspired + start taking pictures. Find a prompt on the shot list and photograph it with whatever camera you have with you. Whether it be with you DSLR or your phone camera, every shot counts. You can take as many photos as you’d like to capture a shot list item and your photos may each contain multiple shot list items.

 3. Share your summer fun with us between June 20 – August 31, 2024. We have two ways for you two share: Use the hashtag #ClickCommunityHunt24 and tag the shot list prompt in your photo (e.g., #watermelon or #whitewine) on your public Instagram account or share your photos with us in our dedicated Photo Hunt Image Share on Click Community. We will be featuring your photos on our @theclickcommunity feed all summer long!
