The Chamois—a graceful mountain goat with elegantly shaped horns and a distinctive black stripe across its pale face—is remarkably popular among people. So much so that in 1907, at the behest of Austro-Hungarian Emperor Franz Joseph, the chamois were introduced all the way to New Zealand’s distant South Island in order to “return the favor” after New Zealand named one of their glaciers after him. For the island’s fragile ecosystem, it turned out to be a truly Trojan gift.

The Nikon Z 14-24mm f/2.8 S is an excellent lens, and it is easier to use filters with this lens than it was with the previous F-mount version. Even so, the 112mm filter threads on the Nikon HB-97 lens hood require large and bulky filters. I wanted to search for a more compact Neutral Density filter system that could lighten my load without sacrificing quality. In this review, I’ll cover whether the Haida Rear Filter Kit is a proper solution.
