Photography News: Big Nikon Sale, Z 70-200mm f/2.8 II Rumor

They say that less is sometimes more. However, this motto clearly did not apply to last week, which brought a whole host of interesting photography news. That includes the Canon EOS R6 Mark III and the new RF 45mm f/1.2 STM. We also saw Nikon kick off their holiday sales this week. And finally, I had a busy week of my own, sorting through photos and writing about my experience photographing vultures in western Spain. I honestly can’t remember the last time I shot nearly four thousand frames in just a few hours. Well, sometimes more is just more. Wishing you a great start to the new week and good light.

Canon RF 45mm f/1.2 Announced: Bright, Light, and a Low Price

Canon has announced a new prime lens with a normal focal length and a fast aperture: the RF 45mm f/1.2 STM. Surprisingly, this lens is not an ultra-high-end optic, but instead, a fairly light and inexpensive lens! At $ 469, this is easily the lowest price we’ve ever seen for a first-party f/1.2 lens.
