HOW TO PLAY

1. Get the list. Download this year’s shot list and keep it handy on your phone, or print it out so you can check off prompts as you capture them. The printable list (below) is perfect for saving to your phone!

2. Get inspired + start taking pictures. Find a prompt on the shot list and photograph it with whatever camera you have with you. Whether it be with you DSLR or your phone camera, every shot counts. You can take as many photos as you’d like to capture a shot list item and your photos may each contain multiple shot list items.

 3. Share your summer fun with us between June 21 – August 31, 2023. We have two ways for you two share: Use the hashtag #ClickCommunityHunt23 and tag the shot list prompt in your photo (e.g., #watermelon or #whitewine) on your public Instagram account or share your photos with us in our dedicated Photo Hunt picture share on Click Community. We will be featuring your photos on our @theclickcommunity feed all summer long!

4. Become a Click Community member! You do not have to be a member to participate but joining the community is a fabulous way to connect with others who love photography just as much as you do! You also get access to thousands of tutorials, conversations, and pro photographers that will help you take your photography to the next level! Join us here!

Nikon Z 180-600mm f/5.6-6.3 VR Announced + Pre-Order Links

Nikon just announced the highly-anticipated 180-600mm f/5.6-6.3 VR! This lens has been several years in the making, beginning with the appearance of a 200-600mm “non-S” lens on Nikon’s roadmap in October of 2019. The wait has been agonizing, but the lens’s $ 1700 starting price and impressive specifications will almost guarantee it’s a hit.

B&H Photo Mega Deals

Normally, I inform you about good deals and new sales in my regular Photography News articles. This time, however, I am making an exception because last Sunday was too early and next Sunday will be too late. Today I received a message from our partners at B&H Photo about a short but massive sale. I’ve scanned the items in the Photography section and picked out what I personally found interesting (see below). More discounts await you in the Computer and Lighting sections. The sale ends on June 22 at 11:59 PM EDT, so you’ll have to be quick.

Photography News: Nikon Z9 Firmware 4.0, New Sony Rumors

This weekend, I took advantage of one of the last good opportunities in my area to photograph birds. Summer will be here soon, which is a kind of dead season for a few long weeks. At least here in Central Europe.  I almost didn’t put my Nikon Z9 away for the last three days (not even when I was busy tasting excellent wines in renowned wine cellars in South Moravia). When I was tasting about the fourth sample, a hare appeared out of nowhere. It was already quite dark, so I had to focus manually. So I will start today’s Photography News with last night’s hare.
