Nikon’s Secret Macro Lens

I love using macro lenses, but that isn’t the only way to focus up close. Plenty of non-macro lenses, too, have enough magnification for small subjects like flowers or dragonflies. In fact, one Nikon lens can reach 1:1 macro capabilities without any third-party accessories, even though “macro” isn’t in its name!

Photography News: New Wide Lenses, Nikon Z8 Trade-Up

What’s the best way to test the new Nikon Zf? For my test, I chose to visit a mountain saddle in the north of the Czech Republic, a place popular among birds during their fall migration. Biologists capture and release birds day and night from from August through the end of November. In one night, we caught 360 birds and 12 bats. It was cold, rainy, and foggy.
