There is no such thing as a “regular” scanned photograph. The scanner options allow you to set the type of file to save it as. Usually the choices are JPG, GIF, or PNG. You can convert between them by just opening the file in Paint (which is free with Windows) and do a “save as” picking the file type. The same program can also make the picture smaller.
