How do I find out more about an old photograph?

Question by Wookie turkey: How do I find out more about an old photograph?
I found an old photograph, probably late 1800’s, in my grandpa’s old stuff. He isn’t coherent enough to tell me about this photograph, and I have no other living relatives that would know anything about it. How do I find out more about this photograph? I am open to any suggestions.
