    the camera store did a comparison, search: d800 vs medium format. Also it has to do with the amount of available colors. 14 bit vs 16 bit…

    To be honest. I don’t have the knowledge to give a good answer. The only certain thing I can say is that D800 ain’t got shit on a modern medium format sensor. The pictures I’ve seen from the D800 (with and without the AA filter) are pretty bad compared to, let’s say, the Hasselblad H4D-40, especially in fine detail.

    Because it’s a full frame medium format sensor. P65+, IQ180 and IQ160 are the only digital backs from Phase with full frame e.g. 53.7×40.4mm
    The IQ140 got a 43.9×32.9mm sensor with a 1.3 crop factor.
