*… One of the most common mistakes I see on many product shots: Softboxes
used without a diffusers, highlighting glossy surfaces directly, or used
behind diffusers but failed to create gradients due to various reasons. In
this short video I demonstrate how to overcome these issues and use a
large softboxes to create cool looking gradient reflections with a sharp
    cut-off of the light. …*

Nice tutorial. I like how you gave us three views at once and I could see
the photos come up onscreen, that’s a big help.

If you need a small, extremely versatile and controllable light source for
domestic product shots you can use a computer monitor! It’s perfectly flat
and the light is evenly distributed, you can even design your own patters
and gradients as simpe JPEGs in photoshop and use em for creative effects!

I like how you show all the steps even when things go wrong and how to
correct them. Some tutorials edit out the wrong steps and just show you 1,
2, 3… Perfect photo. Then you try to do it and you just get something
wrong and no idea how to fix it. Thanks!!

I’m among the ones that didn’t know about that angle between the softbox
and the diffuser. And I had to spend too much time in PS trying to fix that
    poor gradient.

    Thanks for the free tip!
