I am surprised you don’t have any L glass! your photos are awesome!
It’s so refreshing to hear from another photographer who shoots only in natural light! Thank you so much for your advice
not everyone has money for a 1.2, even the after market ones are pretty expensive at that aperture and wouldn’t most shots come out extremely soft if not stopped down anyways? I admire those who can handle the stress of the ever changing natural light but after some experimentation I prefer artificial light
If you have an aperture of 1.2 I’m pretty sure you can get away with good results anyway.
Check out some great portrait photography and look up Roland Lim Photography on Facebook. That guy is doing some awesome work!
One cool girl. Real, honest, sweet. Keep rockin : )
Something bothers me about only using the camera in natural light, what do you do if you have to cover a wedding? or other ceremonies which requires shooting indoors in a dim church? or even worse, in a theatre (not movie theater) where lighting conditions are similar on the actors as on a night time concert? and to make it even more scary, all this using the 400D.
uhm, the Canon 1.8 50mm is all plastic without “USM”- ultrasonic focusing motor, the mount is plastic too, the manual focus ring is extremely small and does NOT override. There’s a reason why it’s so cheap compared to a properly built f1.4 50mm
I have the 50mm 1.4 and I love it. If you have the dough I highly recommend that over the 1.8.
So you said that you have the 50mm 1.4. Do you prefer it over the 50mm 1.8? why? I mean, do you use a lot the 1.4 aperture? I’m trying to understand if I should buy the 1.8 or 1.4…but definitely the 50mm. thank you Alex!
Hey I really love your videos, and first off may I just say how gorgeous you are and I had a quick question for you. What advice do you have for beginning photographers like myself, who are not sure what to charge for photoshoots. Thanks!
I love your Ombre!
