You’ll need a camera that can be used in a full manual mode. Other than that you really should just pick the system you enjoy the most. Go to a decent camera shop and handle each camera in your price range. Many stores have a rental program that will include a partial refund on the rental price if you buy. Take advantage of it and try out a few different brands. All of the recent cameras from the major camera manufactures can produce excellent images so it is entirely personal preference.
