You will end up with thousands of shots at the end if you’ve done your job right. Generally you want to avoid carrying in large equipment as the wedding is a fluid event and you won’t have any room to set up that kind of thing anyway. Remember the place will be very crowded and packed with people moving around constantly.
Be prepared to take many different types of shots at a wedding. You will want close up portrait shots, group, pose, candid, action all kinds of photo’s. To be great at wedding photography you must be able to adapt to fill out the roles as they come up. Remember these photo’s are going to be in the person’s house for the rest of their life so you want to get as many good one’s as you can in the short few hours you have.
