Featuring a complex optical design comprised of 17 total elements in 14 groups (three of which are extreme aspherical, one regular aspherical, two super extra-low dispersion and three extra-low-dispersion elements), as well as Sony’s most advanced XD linear motor, fluorine + Nano AR Coating II and a fully weather-sealed design, the FE 12-24mm f/2.8 GM is one of the most advanced lenses made by Sony so far. At $ 3,000, this lens is clearly aimed at professionals who want something better than the existing FE 12-24mm f/4 G lens.
