Very soon, and certainly already, as the holiday season continues, gifts are exchanged, and merriment ensues. For tots, brightly wrapped packages under the tree. Filled with….electronics.
Toys, cameras, video games, this and that, these and those, and many of these wonderful gifts will need….batteries. Tip of the holiday hat here to our dear friends at Maha, the small shop that makes Powerex batteries. Secure, powerful, rechargeable, go-to batteries. Sometimes I get queried, “What always goes in the field with you?” And certainly a true answer would always be, “Powerex batteries.”
And the folks at Maha couldn’t be nicer and more down to earth. They listen and help across the board. So, when you try out that new Speedlight, or your little one fires up the newly arrived fleet of remote controlled robots, these potent sources of energy are handy to have stockpiled around.
They also make these incredibly useful little lanterns, that will burn for up to 100 hours in low mode, and charge your cell phone in a pinch. And the new ones have small, powerful magnets for sticking it to stuff, in addition to a hook.
We’ve worked with Maha for a number of years now, and their heart is in the right place. They’ve supported our friend George Divoky and his long and crucial research project up on Cooper Island, north of Alaska. No infrastructure out there on that deserted island, so battery life is crucial to, well, life.
As I have said, good folks, small company, great product. Happy holidays. And happy gaming, photographing, video-making, remote monster truck wheel spinning…..and the list goes on.
