Great video… but…with Hight Speed Sinc is possible to solve the problem
with certain DSLR only with the slice windows method with certain flashes
which use multiple bursts. Usually with leaf shutter there’s no problem (if
you have a flash with high sync speed). I have a Nikon D800 so over 1/250
it uses the slice windows method. So my question is: How to identify which
flahses (speedflash or portable lights, like broncolor or others) have this
capability to produce multiple burst? I mean, if the camera had a leaf
flash I would have only to worry about a flash with a similar maximum high
sinc speed. But with a camera with the other kind of shutter, how can I
identify the right flash to shoot in external daylight with enought power
and a very high sync speed? Thank you!!!
Uhm, what “metering” does your flash do and how? Metering is done in-camera
“through-the-lens” (TTL) with pulses before the picture – works exactly
like the camera automatic modes, just the pre-flash is measured. The thing
you are point to on your flash, how do you think should that thing “meter”
your scene 😀 ?

@fuzmik Light intensity changes throughout the day based on cloud cover,
time of day and even what direction you are facing. I would suggest
adjusting your shutter speed and watching your cameras meter so that it
creates a proper exposure. It is normally a pretty fast shutter speed at
2.8 and you are right about the low ISO such as 100. I hope this helps.
Peace
I think newer model cameras will not allow you to shoot at a faster shutter
speed than your sync speed. They simply change your setting or do not fire.
That is most likely the case with your camera =o)
How can you use flash when shooting at very high shutter speeds?
Beautiful sunny southern California, Fontana to be exact. :o)
niuchas blet 😀
Here’s an interesting tip for anyone that didn’t think of it………..I
went camping recently and wanted to get some pics of possums at night. I
used a very small torch on the possum just so the camera could auto focus
on it then shot the pic using the flash. They turned out really well
