@defty56 That was just a d200 for demo purposes.
Thanks for review. It’s possible to put together a Merlin steadicam
substitute for $30 – $50 using a skateboard bearing in a torch handle
and… just check out WSCLATER and gxasER ‘s results, not very pro looking
tech wise but the results are stunning and with the money saved you can buy
a really nice prime lens. With the Hoodman and variants, I doubt it would
be easy to make one and I’m with JaredPolin and filmriot on its
considerable usefulness. Enjoy your shows.
@liornfib i agree its way to much money for what it is.
209.99$ are u fucking kidding me -.-
Do you open two of your eyes? One eye on thhe screen and one viewfinder”?
@ButterCupDee Wheres the radiation?
most cameras nowadays have a manual focus assist function that magnifies
the image 5-15x. much better and cheaper than this. this isnt even sturdy
enough to be a support and would be incredibly akward to use unless youre a
pro
@liornfib fine go buy the zacuto for 400-500
$210 for radiation, that’s cool.
Why does it cost 210$? Way over priced! not cool.
@JaredPolin Hey Bro Gm…. dude check the video reviews this this is Steady
as a Benz doing 120mph though its a pain that each lens u use needs to be
reweighed but i must admit its a pain in the rear end
@Dombowerphoto Ha, thats a cool trick, thanks Dom. I am right dominant and
find it nearly impossible to shoot with my left eye. I always though people
who used their left eye were just crazy, but now i see thats not the case 🙂
@Bader88 I own the steady cam merlin its 800 and i hate it lol. So
impossible to get sturdy.
ahh the smell of rubber trees 😛
@JaredPolin Yeah ,I’m sure it’ll do the job ,but the low pixel count screen
,magnified ,is going to look rather choppy. Or maybe I’m wrong ,but I’
seeing this like a magnifying glass in front of my screen ,tried it right
now on my D5000 and it’s not great. But maybe that has better glass for
magnification. You should try it on the D3100 ,or your D3000 just for a
comparison.
Looks Awesome for shootin vids :]
@JogBird its a time thing, and i want to see the full image most of the
times when trying to do video to see faming and focus. I already have my
camera set to zoom in on still images to check focus but this loupe helps
as well.
interesting
@Convertape When I shoot baseball I can still peak with my right eye to see
when the pitcher goes into his motion.
@liornfib Yep. Nice idea but WAAAAAAAAAAAAY over priced.
hahaha 210 dollars… wtf ….
Hey Jared, could you please pass me one of those Hasselblads?? Thks!
@LordMaxJa I dont see why it would look bad. I am sure its not as nice as
the d3s screens or high end canon ones but it will still get the job done.
I shoot raw too how funny
