if you gonaa use shallow depth of field then it is no matter what is the
location is if u can show some of the background may be it was
better…nice job
nice lesson on depth of field Brent, thanks :)
No male models lol
girl is just…brrr
thank you so much, you are the only one I have seen who gets straight to
the point and understands using one flash with no light meter.
At 2:16 tell your model not to put much of her weight on the arm closest to
the camera, it makes it look much bigger than it really is. Good location
and pretty model 🙂 Good shots.
Is the telephoto necessary if you have something like a 25 or 50mm f/1.4.
I’d think you can get the same kind of shots, you’d just be closer to the
model.
Is the lens that you use (Canon EF 70-200mm f4L IS USM Lens) or (Canon EF
70-200mm f/4L USM)??
If you have a Nikon flash you have to set the camera to auto FP.
nice
Good video on how to blur the background. Not so informative on the use of
fill flash. Sounded like you were using high speed shutter. If that was the
case then I would question if the speedlight recyled fast enough for the
second shot. Except for the first shot I never saw any flash going off when
you were shooting. Just a suggestion, you could have moved so you were
shooting partially into the sun to form a halo around her hair and use the
flash to fill in the shadow areas. Not a bad video.
use the background
she is beautiful. i wish i could find subjects like that to take photos of
Shoot RAW then it doesn’t matter.
70-200mm f4.0…say what you want about the 2.8 but the 4 is a beast
You have taken a subject with a bright skin tone..what ll be if a person
who has dark skin tone…And how to take a picture of that??Can you guide
me.
The black stripe was due to your shutter speed setting which was faster
than the camera’s maximum flash sync speed. Please see Adorama TV’s Digital
Photography One-on-One, Episode 17 in which flash sync speed is explained
very well by Mark Wallace.
I use auto WB (white balance) but sometimes the camera gets it wrong. Brent
why only het face?
you fantastic… congratz
That’s exactly what happens if you use a shutter speed faster than 1/200sec
(1/250sec on some smaller sensor cameras).
1/2500s sync speed, eh bro?
hand your model a light meter, have her aim it at the flash/camera, put
your flash on manual, and take a shot. The light meter will tell you
everything you need to know for proper exposure of the model at that flash
setting.
Youre right, Whats her number?
