    Brent, Thanks for that explanation of “shutter speed”. I really like the
    images you chose to demonstrate your point. Do you think it would be better
    use the term “exposure time” instead of “shutter speed”. “Shutter speed” is
    confusing because it gives the impression that the shutter is moving faster
    when in fact it’s just the time between when the first curtain opens and
    the second curtain closes? – Thanks – John.

    Hi Cal, check out my long exposure course – I have a list of all my filters
    that I use plus where I got them from. Some are difficult to get nowadays.

    Hi Nitin. I use high speed sync on my flash (canon pro flash), that is the
    only way to shoot faster than 1/200sec with a flash. It works but you will
    need to be closer to the subject because the flash power is not as great.
    Otherwise you are limited to 1/200 or 1/250 of a second. Brent
