    When it’s out and your shooting, provided it’s needed, it’s on backwards if
    it’s facing that way. I think this is for people who are just beginning and
    don’t even know what it does.

    I have this camera (D5100) and I almost never shoot stills with LiveView,
    it’s pointless. This is not a pocket camera – LiveView is for capturing
    video mainly. Use the viewfinder for stills. Aside from that, aperture is a
    property of the LENS, so you see aperture settings in LiveView just like
    you see the focus changing. However, LiveView will always auto-expose your
    image unless you press the AE-L button. I can help you with the camera,
    send a message anytime. Also check the manual, it’s good!

    Ummmm….my lens shade is not on backwards. It on-camera storage. They’re
    meant to do that. I assumed photographers who know their equipment knew
    that?

    I think that most people have the lens hood on reversed because that’s how
    they pack it away in there bag. Then leave it on like that until needed, I
    know I do. Not because they don’t know it’s orientation.

    @nawaryoussef1 depends on your camera really. does your hood have the
    threaded attachment or does it simply slip on the barrel? if there is a
    thread then most likely you will have to have a filter with a thread to
    allow it to attach to the filters ive seen filters and hoods used together
    with good results, so i imagine if your hood can connect with a filter
    attached then yes it will be a good idea to use them together, good thing
    with photography is experimenting 🙂 try it out
