Hi Mat, great work on the videos. Just finished watching the “How to shoot
a wedding” series and might I suggest NOT re-doing the videos. Rambling etc
are all needed so no need to apologize in your videos. Also one of the
videos you were moving couch etc setting up flashes and asked if it was a
good idea to leave it in or remove it. I’m glad you did leave it in. Even
someone half confident enough about the day of shooting might not know
there limits to rearranging furniture or not. Sorry for long winded
comment. Again good job love the videos.

I am going to be shooting a wedding in March next year. I don’t know these
people, but I don’t have a portfolio. So, I am doing it for free (or at
least seems that way). I was wondering. If I do it for free should I just
leave the watermarks on my photos? Or give them prints without it and ask
    them to refer me?

  14. lcko says:

THANK YOU, MATT! I really don’t think that people appreciate the time and
effort you put into this – but it really means ALOT for people (like me)
who is anxious about getting into the business. Also, during the winter
time in Sweden, inspiration for photography is always appreciated. Thank
    you!

  15. George Zeaiter says:

Hi Matt – my cousin is having his wedding soon and he wants me to take
photos, but i’m an extra photographer for free, so there’s very little
pressure one me, he’s using a professional hired one too. Should I work
with him/her? or even interact with them ? any tips would be handy

  16. Ken Burns says:

I like to see a ten minute promo to explain a new car without a single shot
of the car. Very lazy programme.

  17. TuskegeeDan says:

Matt, I love your how to shoot a wedding series. It’s great! Even though
you call yourself the thatnikonguy I won’t hold it against you since I love
Canon. Have you uploaded anything on shooting live events like conterts? I
have shoot some live concerts but find it hard to getpermission to shoot
them. How do I break into that market?

  18. Matt Granger says:

everyone likes to shoot in their own way.

did one this weekend …pure hell from a bunch of tattoo freaks with no
class….no organisation at all …no wedding must have pictures or
nothing….one thing i have to say is…if you cant talk to the bride and
groom before the wedding….run away…dont do it …its bad for the
    business

  24. TheLukasL says:

it was great!!! all the preparations really paid out 😉 I had one problem
which I simply forgot to care about (well it can’t be perfect on the first
time ^^). To get a faster shutter-speed than 1/60 or 1/80 at the
    ceremony…but well it wasn’t such a big problem 😉 I’ll send you a link
with some pictures I shot 😉
