I just want to say that day by day I enjoy your videos and I learn a lot.
They are very helpful and easy to understand.
Well Done!! Do you give any classes around London?
I like your style, Mike, and your videos are full of useful tips (e.g.
using a dark background for better rim light). Thanks for sharing. Ezio
Your videos are great and really helpfull! I’m subscribing!!
Great Explanation….. !!! Can you please explain how to take similar pic –
but also maintain details of the Sky ( whether it is cloudless – a bright
blue day OR a Cloudy Day )….
u can use exposure compensation if ur using auto mode, shutter prio or
aperture priority mode. Mike, can you show us how to use fill flash in
outdoor?
Thanks Mike, i now how the exposure lock works, hopefully my photos will
improve now :)
I hate to admit it but I never used the AE button unless I had it setup to
rear autofocus, but I certainly will now. Great explanation!

hi mike . I use canon 600d and when i put it on manual mode the AE lock
isnt working.
Great Video Mike. when doing it manually: why do we need to get closer to
the subject to see the exposure, then get back from the place we shoot? I
could just stay at the place I shoot and meter the exposure on the subject
directly, right?
thanks
That could work?
great! I enjoy watching your vids, very informative and to the point
Thank you for this share.
Thanks for the tip. How does this change if I use spot-metering?
Nice video, have a question: What about using a flash as a fill light? to
get the background and the subject both properly exposed?
Wonderful videos !
Thanks. whenever you can get light behind someone / thing it’ll work so
middle of the day isn’t good. Just shoot when the light looks right. This
begins with looking at light all the time – not just when out with a camera
– so you’ll recognise what it’s doing ans when.
