Good video…I wish I saw this a week ago!
is it possible to take HDR shots? , for instance if you take a RAW image, you can split that up into 3 different photos set to different exposures, than make a HDR from those composites on photomatix or some other program. Would make the colors pop a lot more and creates a nice colorful glow to the surrounding surfaces. But i guess it might depend on how much light is available
great video thanks for the ideas
I love it that you actually took the effort to find a way to show the viewers how to do it with a firework app – really creative!
THANKS!
Thanks, for the info, great photo’s.
some people also change the zoom during the exposure ~ this could also create some interesting effect
Thanks a lot, Brill video hoping to try it out next week end.
REALLY like your teaching- heres one of mine from TOWADAKO ini JAPAN:.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10151290716398135&set=a.10151290716038135.558581.571463134&type=1&theater
Got some great shots with the tips that you had in this video. Posting a video montage, set to music, of them to my channel right now, should be done uploading soon. Thanks for the tips and settings to try.
You have a happy 4th of July, and the timing of the video was perfect for us Canadians as well (July 1st). Thanks for a very helpful and easy to understand video.
Another great video. Thanks!
Before the show, I focus at infinity, or use AF on an object near to where I think the fireworks are going to be. Then at the beginning of the show I fine-tune with Live View. I use back-button focusing, so essentially that’s like being in manual focus. Since I don’t have focus-on-shutter-press turned on, I’d forgotten people could run into AF problems. I’ll add a note to the video. Thank you!
Fantastic demo and tutorial, thanks!
Just one question (perhaps I missed out on it): How do you focus in general? Using AF once and then switch it off? Thanks!
Thanks a lot – this is so helpful! Keep up the good work!
thank you very much!!!!
Really great tip! Thank you.
Thanks for this video, appreciate it. In Calgary we have our Stampede every year and this year is # 100 and on the first weekend and second weekend, there are 3 days each (so 6 total) of fireworks in the evening. Going to have some opportunity to try out pics. And that ‘focus’ tip is really neat.
great video Forrest Tanaka. Very easy to follow.
