Question by sarah.elizabeth14: what are some good tips for photography?
I am doing a project for photography class and I need some tips to put in my presentation. Anything helps. The presentation is for people who have experience with photography but would like to improve their skills.

I have done a lot of different photographic based jobs over the years, the best was the two years I worked at the local paper as the advertising department photographer. An older news side photographer gave me this piece of advice, never go anywhere without a camera. Since then I never leave the house without at least a 35mm compact or a digital point and shoot. My best “news” shot ever I took with my Nikon Lite-touch AF P&S.
And here’s another that I tell all my friends: do not be afraid to experiment, be very critical of your results, show only your best work and buy a big garbage can to “file” your failures.
